Delivering care continuity for specialty and infusion therapy

Summer travel, temporary relocation or unexpected disasters can disrupt access to specialty and infusion therapies. That can be risky for your patients and add more work for your office staff as they coordinate medication delivery.  

Our pharmacies operate within a national network that allows care to continue across locations. If your patient is out of state — or in a region affected by disaster — and needs their medications, one of our other Optum pharmacy locations can step in and deliver the medications to them. Our skilled specialty pharmacy teams will work with patient’s insurance plan to coordinate vacation coverage options, Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) exceptions, and other complexities so patients can rest easy through their travels.
