The triple aim, high quality, high value, patient satisfaction. The fourth component is probably as important or more, physician satisfaction.

I waited most of my adult career in medicine before I transitioned over, and I wish I would've done that two and a half decades ago. Moving to Optum and allowing that time to expand so I can spend more time with the patients has allowed me to do what I trained my adult life to do and I'm happier doing it.

When a patient walks into an exam room and he sees that provider not being rushed, focused and the feeling that he's giving plenty of time for anything that might be ailing that patient, the patient gets patient satisfaction and high quality care. That's what the patient wants. And the patient deserves that.
