We within Optum have a voice, and I like that the business of Optum, which is in the business of caring, doesn't tell us doctors really what to do, because they're not in my head examining that patient to know exactly what should happen at that moment.

So it gives me the authority and the ability to practice medicine the way I'm supposed to practice medicine. Optum encourages people to be efficient and not overdoing procedures, overdoing things, not ordering unnecessary tests.

So you're gonna work with that patient to optimize their healthcare. Optum has benefited the patient by providing this seamless kind of care. I've learned to make the practice very personal. We take care of our patients and we go overboard to make

sure they're comfortable with the advice we've given them.
