A private cloud typically
resides on a solution providers own
infrastructure or at a third party
data center. It is firewall

Infrastructure. Support upgrades
and security are entirely the responsibility
of the solution vendor. On top of providing
the solution itself, a public cloud
is hosted by a public cloud provider.
That means the operational responsibility
shifts to the hosting company with
a public cloud. The solution provider
is no longer responsible for the data

and storage. Instead, they're free

core application performance
and scale are also enhanced with
a public cloud. Public cloud
providers own and are responsible for
their own networks and operate at
sufficient scale. To ensure available capacity
and connections, vast numbers of
network trunks reduce the distance required
to connect to the network, thereby enhancing
service speed. In contrast, the
limited scale of infrastructure in private
clouds can impact performance.
